STEP 7: FIBERGLASS POOL REFINISHING CLEAN UP

Clean Up After Fiberglass Pool Refinishing

After successfully applying a new gelcoat finish to your fiberglass pool, it’s crucial to carefully unmask the pool decking and clean the pool before refilling. This final stage of the process ensures a clean and safe swimming environment, while also protecting the surrounding pool area.

Unmasking The Pool Decking

Once the gelcoat has fully cured, we remove the protective masking materials from your pool decking. We will:

  • Inspect the gelcoat before unmasking and double-check the gelcoat for any imperfections or areas that may require touch-ups.
  • We then remove the tape and plastic sheeting being cautious not to damage the pool decking or the new gelcoat finish.
  • We haul off the trash with us!
